Pipiriki is located on the banks of the Whanganui River, at the southern gateway to Whanganui National Park.
 

• From Whanganui: approx. 1 hour drive north via SH4.
   

• From Raetihi / Ohakune: approx. 45 minutes drive south.
   

• From Tongariro National Park: approx. 1.5 hours drive.
   

Parking is available at the Pipiriki landing and village centre. Visitors are encouraged to drive with care — SH4 can be narrow and winding. In winter, check road conditions before travelling.
